D37-D48: Neoplasms of uncertain or unknown behaviour

D44: Neoplasm of uncertain or unknown behaviour of endocrine glands

Neoplasms of uncertain or unknown behavior of endocrine glands refer to a group of conditions involving abnormal growths or tumors in the endocrine system. These glands, including the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, and pancreas, produce hormones that regulate various body functions. In these conditions, the nature of the tumor is uncertain, meaning it is not clearly benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Symptoms can vary depending on the affected gland and may include fatigue, weakness, unexplained weight loss or gain, mood changes, or physical changes like skin thickening or thinning. These neoplasms often disrupt normal hormone regulation and can thereby affect multiple systems within the body. The cause of these neoplasms is not fully understood and they can progress unpredictably, sometimes remaining stable whereas other times growing or spreading to other areas.
