Z43: Attention to artificial openings
Z43.7: Attention to artificial vagina
The vagina is one of the female genital organs. The vagina leads outward from the uterus. You have an artificial vagina. An artificial vagina is formed by surgery.
An artificial vagina may be attached for instance when the natural vagina had to be removed. An artificial vagina may also be attached if the vagina was damaged by a radiation treatment. Sometimes the vagina is missing from birth. In that case, an entirely new vagina may be attached.
The stoma requires special care.
You have had your artificial vagina tended to. A dressing may have been changed. The artificial vagina may also have been cleaned and cared for. The artificial vagina may also have been checked and rinsed.
