Z12.8: Special screening examination for neoplasms of other sites
The examination was to see whether you have a tumor disease. The tissue in the body is made up of cells. A tumor disorder involves the cells multiplying more than normal. This results in abnormal or excess tissue forming. A tumor can be benign or malignant. Pieces of tissue or blood may be examined, for example. Sometimes images of your body’s insides will also be taken.
