X30-X39: Exposure to forces of nature

X35: Victim of volcanic eruption

"Victim of volcanic eruption" refers to individuals who have experienced physical harm as a direct result of a volcanic eruption. These events can create a wide range of injuries, from minor to life-threatening. Physical injuries may be derived from the high temperature of pyroclastic flows, the impact from volcanic bombs and blocks, or abrasions from volcanic ash and fine particulate matter. Respiratory ailments are also common due to the inhalation of volcanic gases, dust, and ash, potentially causing coughing, respiratory discomfort, and long-term lung diseases. Skin and eye irritation may also occur due to direct contact with these substances. Depending on the severity of the eruption, there may also be the risk of trauma, burns, or crush injuries caused by the collapse of structures. This condition is solely caused by exposure to volcanic eruptions, not transmitted from person to person. The effects can show immediately or might develop over time, depending on the type and extent of exposure.
