L30.4: Erythema intertrigo
More sweat usually collects in large folds of the skin. These folds of skin may be in the groin or the buttocks, for example. The skin in these folds may also chafe. As a result, your skin has been damaged and become inflamed. The condition may occur more frequently when someone is overweight or if their immune system is weak, for example.
If the skin in folds becomes inflamed, it often looks red. The skin is usually itchy and sore. The skin may also weep in these places.
