L20-L30: Dermatitis and eczema
L30: Other dermatitis
Other Dermatitis is a group of skin conditions characterized by inflammation or swelling of the skin. These conditions are not contagious and can occur due to various causes including allergic reactions, irritants, dry skin, or certain genetic factors. Common symptoms may include redness, itching, swelling, and dry or scaly skin. Some forms of dermatitis may cause blisters or peeling. These conditions often present in a cycle of flare-ups and remission, where symptoms vary in severity and duration. Progression of the disease varies widely but in general, most forms of dermatitis are chronic and tend to persist over time. The skin, being the primary affected system, may show visible changes in color or texture and in severe cases can lead to secondary infections if left untreated.
