K25.0: Gastric ulcer : acute with haemorrhage

The inside of the stomach is lined with mucous membrane. Your gastric mucous membrane is severely damaged in one place. As a result, a deep wound has formed in your gastric mucous membrane. There is bleeding from the wound.

There are many reasons for a wound in the stomach. For example, the mucous membrane may be damaged by too much gastric acid, pathogens or specific drugs.

Because of the wound, you may have pain in your stomach. It is also possible to feel nauseated and your stomach may feel unpleasantly full. You may feel exhausted. Sometimes you can also have no symptoms at all.
