Sedatives have a tranquilizing effect. Sedatives include, for example, the benzodiazepine group. Sleeping pills help people to sleep. Sleeping pills include, for example, the barbiturates class of drugs.
Consumption of sedatives or sleeping pills has caused you to have mental problems. One’s own senses can be deceived. For example, you might see things that are not really there. You may also interpret your own reality incorrectly, and your own mood might change.
