Z94: Transplanted organ and tissue status
Z94.4: Liver transplant status
When an organ or tissue are transplanted, diseased or missing tissue is replaced by healthy tissue.
The liver is an important organ on the top right of the abdomen. For example, it helps with blood clotting and detoxifying the body. Nutrients from food are processed in the liver.
If liver tissue is transplanted, the healthy liver tissue comes from another person.
