COVID-19 is the abbreviation for coronavirus disease of 2019. This disease is caused by certain coronaviruses. Corona viruses usually spread from person to person. If a person is infected they can transmit the viruses through the air they are breathing. For example, this happens during coughing or sneezing as well as during normal breathing and talking.
If you are sick with COVID-19, you may have various symptoms. Some sufferers have no signs of the disease at all, whereas others have mild or even severe symptoms. The most common symptoms are fever and coughing. You may even have a worse sense of smell or even taste than you did before due to the disease.
