T90-T98: Sequelae of injuries, of poisoning and of other consequences of external causes

T93: Sequelae of injuries of lower limb

Sequelae of injuries of the lower limb pertain to the range of lingering or late effects that develop following an initial injury to the lower leg, including the hip, thigh, knee, lower leg, ankle, or foot. These sequelae may appear shortly after recovery, or develop long after the original injury seemed to have completely healed. They differ largely based on the nature of the initial injury and may include physical complications like chronic pain, nerve damage, limited mobility, disruption of muscle function, or bone irregularities. In addition, psychological issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder or anxiety may also arise as indirect consequences of the injury. While these conditions are not contagious, they can significantly impact the patient's quality of life and their ability to carry out daily life activities.
