To do this, a needle is inserted into a blood vessel and a tube is usually placed in the blood vessel. The drug or blood is then administered via this tube. This tube can remain in the blood vessel for several days. Sometimes the drug is injected directly into the blood vessel through the needle.
Pathogens have entered your body through the needle or tube. These pathogens have triggered an inflammation. This inflammation can spread throughout the entire body.
