T66-T78: Other and unspecified effects of external causes
T68: Hypothermia
Body temperature is controlled by your brain, among other things. Skin and muscles are vital for regulating body temperature. The muscles create heat. The skin ensures that the heat remains within the body.
The normal body temperature ranges between 36 and 37 degrees. If a body temperature is below 35 degrees, the temperature of the body is too low. You have been in the cold too long or you have had an accident. In an accident, you may lose heat through larger wounds, for example. As a result, your body temperature is too low.
