T67: Effects of heat and light
T67.2: Heat cramp
Heavy sweating during physical exercise in high temperatures results in a loss of minerals and fluid via the skin. The minerals in the blood affect things like muscle function. When minerals are lost, muscles can cramp up. The muscles then become hard and they can be painful. The arms and legs can be affected, for example.
