Toluol and xylol, substances similar to benzene, can be included in paints, adhesives and plastics.
A substance can be absorbed into the body in different ways and result in poisoning. A substance can be inhaled, swallowed or absorbed via contact with the skin, for example. The symptoms can vary depending on how the substance got into the body.
Poisoning with a substance similar to benzene can cause dizziness, nausea and headache. Intoxication, convulsions and apnea may also occur.
