T09: Other injuries of spine and trunk, level unspecified
T09.4: Injury of unspecified nerve, spinal nerve root and plexus of trunk
The trunk includes the chest, back, abdomen, and pelvis. Various bones support the trunk. These are the spine, the ribs and the pelvic bones, for example. Most organs are in the trunk. These include the heart, the lungs and the kidneys, for example.
You have injured one or more nerves. Many nerves run from the spinal cord and brain to the organs, skin and muscles in the body. Nerves can control muscles, for example, or be important in feeling contact. Depending on which nerves are damaged, various problems can occur. You may no longer be able to use certain muscles properly, for example. You may also no longer be able to feel contact properly.
