S75: Injury of blood vessels at hip and thigh level

S75.2: Injury of greater saphenous vein at hip and thigh level

Veins are blood vessels that transport the blood back to the heart.

You have an injury to one or more veins on the inside of your thigh.

When a blood vessel is damaged, there is usually bleeding. If the bleeding is heavy, blood may collect in the tissue. You can then have leg pain. When there is bleeding below the skin, a bruise sometimes forms.
