S42: Fracture of shoulder and upper arm

S42.3: Fracture of shaft of humerus

There are different parts to the humerus. The top end is connected to the shoulder blade in the shoulder joint. In the middle of the humerus there is a long, straight section. The lower end is connected to the forearm in the elbow joint. You have broken the central part of your humerus.

If someone has broken bones in the shoulder/upper arm area, it can be painful. You may then be unable to move your shoulder or arm properly.
