S33: Dislocation, sprain and strain of joints and ligaments of lumbar spine and pelvis
S33.4: Traumatic rupture of symphysis pubis
In a joint, at least 2 bones are connected to one another. There are various joints in the lumbar spine and the pelvis.
The pelvis consists of various bones, some of which are fused. At the front of the pelvis, the right and left pelvic bones are connected by a joint. This joint is clamped by tight ligaments. In your case, an injury has badly damaged this connection.
You may have pain in the back or pelvis as a result of the injury. You may also be unable to move properly. The injury may also have damaged surrounding organs. These could include the intestine or the bladder.
