S23: Dislocation, sprain and strain of joints and ligaments of thorax
S23.2: Dislocation of other and unspecified parts of thorax
In a joint, at least 2 bones are connected to one another. There are a number of joints in the ribcage.
The thoracic spine, the ribs and the sternum are in the ribcage. These bones are connected to one another by joints. In your case, the bones in a joint in the ribcage are not properly aligned.
As a result you may have some pain or be unable to move properly. The injury may also have damaged surrounding tissue. This includes, for example, the spinal cord, the lungs, large blood vessels, and the heart.
