S13: Dislocation, sprain and strain of joints and ligaments at neck level
S13.6: Sprain and strain of joints and ligaments of other and unspecified parts of neck
There are a number of joints and ligaments in the neck. In getting injured, you have strained joints or overstretched ligaments.
This happens, for example, with sudden violent movements, as in a car accident. As a result you can get neck pain, for example, or headaches.
