S07: Crushing injury of head

S07.9: Crushing injury of head, part unspecified

Certain parts of your head have been crushed.

Crushing can occur when a strong pressure is exerted on part of the body. This can occur as a result of an accident or a blow, for example. Muscles, nerves, blood vessels or bones can be damaged as a result of crushing.

Crushing can cause pain, for example. There may also be bruising in the affected area. When the head is crushed, the brain can be damaged too. You may then get headaches or feel nauseous, for example. If the skull is severely crushed, you can also lose consciousness.
