R82: Other abnormal findings in urine
R82.0: Chyluria
There are normally 2 kidneys in the body. They filter blood and create urine. They thus help to detoxify the body. Furthermore, the kidneys regulate the blood pressure and salt content in the blood, among other things. Only certain substances are emitted via urine to detoxify the body. Lymph fluid is not normally excreted with your urine.
There are many different reasons for lymph fluid being in the urine. Fluid forms in tissue throughout the body every day. This tissue fluid is the lymph. The lymph is carried around the body by lymph vessels. The lymph vessels run around the entire body and are connected to blood vessels. At some points, there are lymph nodes along the lymph vessels. Pathogens are rendered harmless in the lymph nodes, for example. Lymph fluid can get into the urine, for example, if it cannot drain properly. Sometimes the lymph vessels are connected to the urinary passages through injury or because they have developed that way.
Lymph vessels being in the urine makes the urine cloudy.
