R10-R19: Symptoms and signs involving the digestive system and abdomen
R14: Flatulence and related conditions
Your abdomen is probably more bloated than usual. A bloated abdomen means that a lot more air may escape from the bowel through the anus. You may also have to burp more than usual.
There are many different reasons for a bloated stomach. You may have swallowed too much air, for example. Sometimes the bowel does not move enough. In both cases, a lot of air or gas builds up in the abdomen or bowel. Certain bacteria may also break down a lot of dietary fiber or sugar-like substances in the bowel. A lot of gas is produced during this breakdown process. There are also diseases where the body cannot get nutrients from food very well. There is also more gas in the abdomen here too.
