R10: Abdominal and pelvic pain
R10.0: Acute abdomen
Bad abdominal pain can affect a small area, or all, of the abdomen. The abdominal muscles can then contract severely. The abdomen may feel very hard as a result. You may feel nauseous or need to vomit. You may also have circulatory problems.
Bad abdominal pain can occur if tissue in the abdomen is inflamed or injured. Bad pain can also occur if the intestine is not working properly.
