Q83: Congenital malformations of breast

Q83.3: Accessory nipple

The breast is made up of fatty tissue, connective tissue and the mammary gland. Milk is produced in the mammary gland during and after pregnancy so that the child can be fed. Milk is dispensed through the nipple.

An extra breast or nipple may be located in an inconvenient place. Clothing may rub against the extra breast or nipple, which may cause discomfort.
