Q79: Congenital malformations of the musculoskeletal system, not elsewhere classified

Q79.8: Other congenital malformations of musculoskeletal system

Tendons are made up of very firm connective tissue. Tendons attach muscles to bones.

One of your tendons may be shorter than normal. A muscle or tendon is sometimes missing, for example. You may also have an extra muscle, for example. If muscles, tendons or bones have not developed properly, the internal organs may not have grown properly either in some cases. One of the kidneys may be affected, for example.

The symptoms depend on how severely the muscles, tendons or bones are affected. For example, you may be unable to move the affected area of the body properly or you may have pain there.
