Veins are blood vessels that transport the blood back to the heart. The largest veins are the vena cava. There is a superior and inferior vena cava. They flow into the heart from above and below.
You may have a missing vena cava, for example. Great veins may be connected to each other differently than normal in your case. You may also have an extra great vein.
The symptoms depend on the extent of the defect. There are often no symptoms at all. However, you may have reduced stamina or certain areas of your body may swell up.
