O30-O48: Maternal care related to the fetus and amniotic cavity and possible delivery problems
O48: Prolonged pregnancy
A pregnancy usually lasts about 40 weeks. Usually this includes the weeks from the beginning of the last menstrual period, even if fertilization only takes place afterwards. During pregnancy, the child develops in the womb. The child is usually born after about 38 to 42 weeks of pregnancy.
When a pregnancy lasts more than 42 weeks, it is known as post-term.
