O08: Complications following abortion and ectopic and molar pregnancy
O08.3: Shock following abortion and ectopic and molar pregnancy
This type of premature end to pregnancy may involve a miscarriage or a hydatidiform mole (molar pregnancy), for example. A hydatidiform mole is when a child fails to form a fertilized egg cell, and a benign tumor develops instead. It may also be a case of a pregnancy that failed to develop in the normal area inside the womb.
The circulatory system consists of the heart and the blood vessels. The heart pumps blood through the body. In the process, the blood flows through blood vessels. The blood supplies all areas of the body with oxygen and nutrients.
When you have severe circulatory problems, some areas of your body no longer get enough blood. This can happen, for example, if the heart is not working properly or if there is too little fluid in the blood vessels. The blood pressure may be very low and the heart may beat very fast. You can then have various problems. Insufficient blood no longer being able to get to the brain may cause you to lose consciousness. Other organs such as the kidneys or lungs may also no longer work properly. This can make you seriously ill.
