N85: Other noninflammatory disorders of uterus, except cervix
N85.4: Malposition of uterus
The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus.
The uterus usually leans forward slightly. The wider top end of the uterus is also tilted slightly forward at the cervix.
The position of the uterus may be different in some women. For example, the uterus may lean further forward or even backward.
