N49: Inflammatory disorders of male genital organs, not elsewhere classified
N49.1: Inflammatory disorders of spermatic cord, tunica vaginalis and vas deferens
The male genital organs include the testicles and the penis.
But there are also other smaller glands and various other tissues that are part of the genitals. This also includes the spermatic cords. The spermatic cord runs through the inner abdominal region down to the testicles. The spermatic cord contains various blood vessels and nerves and the spermatic duct (vas deferens). The sperm are transported out of the testicles into the urethra by the spermatic duct.
Your spermatic cord is inflamed. You may experience pain between your legs or in your lower abdomen. Sometimes you will also have a fever.
An inflammation of the spermatic cord may be caused by pathogens, for example, or other conditions.
