N43: Hydrocele and spermatocele

N43.1: Infected hydrocele

The testicles are located outside the body, and are covered by skin. That is the scrotum.

Fluid has accumulated around your testicle.

There may be various reasons for the accumulation of fluid, for example if a testicle is damaged or inflamed. The accumulated fluid has also become inflamed due to a pathogen.

The accumulated fluid can cause the affected testicle to become swollen. It may also cause pain and high temperature or your testicle may overheat.
