N42.0: Calculus of prostate

The prostate forms part of the male genital organs. The prostate sits below the bladder and encircles the urethra. The prostate is also known as the prostate gland. Some of the seminal fluid is formed in the prostate.

Stones in the prostate may come from the fluid in the prostate or occur after an inflammation of the prostate.

Stones (calculus) in your prostate mostly do not cause any symptoms. However, they can sometimes cause problems. You may experience pain when urinating or not be able to urinate properly.
