N39: Other disorders of urinary system
N39.1: Persistent proteinuria, unspecified
There are normally 2 kidneys in the body. They filter blood and create urine. They thus help to detoxify the body. Furthermore, the kidneys regulate the blood pressure and salt content in the blood, among other things. Only certain substances are emitted via urine to detoxify the body. Proteins are usually only excreted in small amounts via the urine. Your body has been excreting too much protein in the urine for a considerable time.
There are many different reasons for having too much protein in your urine. For example, people with muscle or kidney disorders may excrete more protein than usual. When experiencing stress or engaging in strenuous physical activity, people may also excrete more protein than usual.
