M91-M94: Chondropathies

M92: Other juvenile osteochondrosis

Other juvenile osteochondrosis refers to a group of conditions that primarily affect growing children and teens. This condition is characterized by the disruption of the normal development and formation of the cartilage and bone in the legs or arms. Common symptoms may include pain or tenderness, swelling, and difficulty with movement in the affected joint. The exact cause is still unknown, but it may involve a combination of genetic factors, repetitive physical activity, and interruptions in the blood supply to the joint. Over time, other juvenile osteochondrosis typically progresses from an initial phase of discomfort and mild physical impairment to a crucial healing phase, during which the body attempts to heal the affected area.
