M76: Enthesopathies of lower limb, excluding foot
M76.4: Tibial collateral bursitis [Pellegrini-Stieda]
The medial collateral ligament is located in the side of the knee that faces the other leg. This ligament stabilizes the knee, when standing in particular.
When the medial collateral ligament is changed, it can mean there is inflammation or calcification, for example. This can be caused by overwork, injuries or pathogens. It may be painful. The pain may make moving your leg more difficult than usual.
