It is also possible that the fat metabolism in your liver cells is abnormal. As a result, fat can pile up in the liver cells. The excess fat can damage the liver cells. As a result, the liver may become inflamed.

If your liver is inflamed, you may have abdominal pain or a high temperature. Sometimes you may also have a feeling of pressure in your abdomen.
