K62.7: Radiation proctitis
The intestines are lined with mucous membrane. The mucous membrane in the intestines is very sensitive. You received irradiation. That is done for cancer, for example. The irradiation damaged the mucous membrane in the intestines. As a result, your mucous membrane has also become inflamed.
You may then have severe abdominal pain and bloody diarrhea. You may feel nauseated and need to vomit. It also possible that you will have a frequent urgent need to pass feces.
