K62: Other diseases of anus and rectum
K62.2: Anal prolapse
The last segment of the large intestine consists of 2 sections. These 2 sections are the rectum and anal canal. The feces are collected in the rectum. The feces then move through the short anal canal to the anus. Feces are excreted through the anus.
The intestines are lined with mucous membrane. In your case, the mucous membrane of the anal canal is protruding outward through the anus. As a result, the mucous membrane may be irritated during a bowel movement and there may be a discharge or bleeding in the anus. You may also no longer be able to control your bowel movement.
