K55: Vascular disorders of intestine
K55.1: Chronic vascular disorders of intestine
In your case, lime and fats have been deposited in the wall of the abdominal arteries. As a result, the wall of the abdominal arteries has hardened and thickened. The abdominal arteries may also become constricted by the deposits. In that case, not enough blood may get into the intestines sometimes. If the intestines do not get enough blood, they may be damaged. The intestines may then become inflamed, for example.
You may have diarrhea or abdominal pain. The abdominal pain often occurs after eating.
Smoking, being overweight or excessively high blood pressure make it more likely for the blood vessels to become narrower or be obstructed.
