The inside of the stomach and intestines is lined with mucous membrane. Your mucous membrane of the stomach or intestines is severely damaged in one place. As a result, you have developed a deep wound. There can be bleeding from the wound.

There are many reasons for a wound in the stomach or intestines. For example, the mucous membrane may be damaged by too much gastric acid, pathogens or specific drugs.

Because of the wound, you may have pain in your stomach. It is also possible to feel nauseated and your stomach may feel unpleasantly full. You may feel exhausted. Sometimes you can also have no symptoms at all.
