I69: Sequelae of cerebrovascular disease
I69.4: Sequelae of stroke, not specified as haemorrhage or infarction
When someone has a stroke, the brain tissue is damaged. Problems may appear shortly after a stroke. These problems may also be long-term. Sometimes, too, certain problems only develop after a long time has passed. Symptoms might be difficulties speaking, for example. One might also be no longer able to move certain parts of one’s body properly, or one may be unable to remember things properly.
