H53.2: Diplopia
We have two eyes. Light enters each eye. An image results. A slightly different image is produced in each eye, as the eyes are apart. The brain processes the two images into one image. As a result, we can also see spatially.
You are seeing two separate images instead of one spatial image. This is also called double vision. When we are unable to see spatially properly, we cannot judge distances correctly, for example.
