H31.2: Hereditary choroidal dystrophy
The choroid is the middle layer in the eye sheath. It lies between the sclera and the retina. There are lots of blood vessels in this layer. The choroid supplies the retina below it with oxygen and nutrients.
Tissue in your choroid has undergone a pathological change due to a hereditary disorder. There are a variety of hereditary disorders that cause changes in the choroid. The changes to the eye concerned may impair sight.
