H18.8: Other specified disorders of cornea

The cornea is located at the front of the eye. It is transparent and curved. The curvature focuses light in the eye. This is vital to be able to see clearly. The cornea is made up of several very thin layers.

The cornea of your eye has changed. An increased amount of fluid or other substances can be deposited into the cornea, for example. Individual layers of the cornea or the shape of the cornea may also change. A change to the cornea means you may no longer be able to see properly.
