H18: Other disorders of cornea

H18.1: Bullous keratopathy

The cornea is located at the front of the eye. It is transparent and curved. The curvature focuses light in the eye. This is vital to be able to see clearly. The cornea is made up of several very thin layers.

Increased fluid has been deposited in the cornea of your eye. This can lead to the individual thin layers of the cornea separating from each other and forming small bubbles. The cornea changing in this way can produce symptoms. You may find it increasingly difficult to see. You may also find it more difficult to see in the mornings than in the evenings.
