The cornea of your eye has become inflamed. The cornea can become inflamed when it is irritated or damaged. However, it can also become inflamed due to various pathogens, for example.

Inflammation of the cornea can be painful. It may feel as though there is something in one’s eye. The eye may water or excrete pus. It may also not be possible to see properly or bright light might be hard to tolerate. The eye may also be red.
