H15.0: Scleritis
The sclera is a white, tough sheath around the eyeball. The sclera maintains the shape of the eyeball and stabilizes the eye.
Pathogens are some of the things that can cause the sclera to become inflamed. Inflamed sclera often causes the eye to become sore. The eye may also become red or parts of the eye may swell up. It is possible to have difficulties seeing or moving the eye.
