G83: Other paralytic syndromes

G83.8: Other specified paralytic syndromes

Many nerves run from the spinal cord and brain to the organs, skin and muscles in the body. The muscles are controlled by the nerves. A paralysis occurs, for example, when the brain, the spinal cord or the nerves are damaged. This can happen due to an injury or another disorder, for example.

For example, it may be that a person is unable to move for a short time after a seizure.
